Dear Vere Tech Alumni & Friends:

Welcome to 2012!...And our 40^th year in Toronto. Just imagine! High school friends, moving to a new country, a country called Canada and staying together for 40 years! What a milestone!

Before we tell you what’s in store for 2012, let us reflect on 2011.  We would like to thank our entire alumni, your families and friends for sparing precious time from your busy schedules to attend our 2011 meetings, socials, picnic, Vere Tech’s 50th anniversary Jamaica celebrations and our Toronto Reunion 2011.Year 2011 was, indeed, another successful year and we could not have done it without you.

2012 promises to be another great year.It’s our 40^th anniversary and here are some of the events we have planned for you:

·       April 19: Pot luck/games social night,  hosted by Alva and Delores Allison

·       May 19:Kick off meeting,  hosted by Charlene Bartley

·       June 16: Social evening,  hosted by Dalton and Beryl Edwards

·       July 21: Picnic, back to our favourite spot – G. Ross Lord Park

·       Sept 8: 40^th Anniversary Dinner/Dance, Woodbine Convention Centre

All of these events are excellent opportunities to get involved.  History tells us that:

·       Coming together is a beginning

·       Keeping together is a progress and

·       Working together is a success

Let’s continue our success; we welcome the input and involvement of all alumni and friends. We wish you and your families a safe and prosperous 2012.  Let’s come together and build that bridge between our chapter and our school – Vere Technical High.
